Annette Asbill grew-up in Southwest Florida with six siblings and two parents who were very creative. Annette's father was an Evangelist, painter, poet, and author; her mother wanted to be a schoolteacher, but spent her life raising children and painting anything that didn't move. Of her parents’ seven children and 15 grandchildren, the majority became schoolteachers, writers, and artists.
Annette's only brother, the oldest, discovered Joel Chandler Harris' Uncle Remus when he was a teenager and kept the six girls entertained by reading aloud to them nightly. Annette still reads those stories from time to time.
She and her husband, Ron, now have four adult children and five grandchildren.
Favorite Books: Annette is proud to acknowledge her brother, Curt Vick, and Vicki Diane Westling as published authors. Vicki's book Thunder of Silence is one of her favorite books.
Why did she start writing? The birth of her grandson and the subsequent death of her mother ignited her creativity.
