David Spohn

Corporate_Connoisseur_Logo author,  David Spohn holds a B.A. in Political Science from The Citadel, Charleston, S. C., and an M.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Kansas. He began his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. His assignments included Vietnam, where Spohn served as an infantry company commander, and Korea, where he was an operations officer. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College.

Spohn left the military for private industry, where he began his career in an entry-level staff position. Over the course of his career, Spohn held positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in the presidency of a wholly owned subsidiary of a Fortune 100 Company. His experience from cubicle to corner office in business organizations provides much of the foundation for his first novel, Trumped.

Spohn left industry to begin a career of writing, teaching, and consulting. He currently teaches in the Department of Communication, Central Piedmont Community College, in Charlotte, N. C.

His hobbies include golf, reading, spoiling grandchildren, and maintaining a passionate allegiance to the Green Bay Packers. He and his wife, Mary, along with their dog, Jeb, live in Lake Wylie, S. C.
